I try to ship the day after I receive payment, but Brokered items will normally not ship until about a week after I receive funds. Travel schedules can delay any shipments for up to 2 weeks. If this is a problem, DO NOT BID. I do my best to ship quickly, but I have to travel all over the US to find this stuff. So your patience is appreciated.
Payment must be received within seven, (7) days after the end of the auction, unless arranged in advance with AntiqueGuns.com. AntiqueGuns.com will be released from liability to sell an item, if payment comes in after the seven (7) day period and cannot guarantee item will still be available.
ALL HIGH BIDDERS
IF YOU DID NOT HIT THE RESERVE, PLEASE CONTACT ME AT THE END OF AUCTIONS AND GIVE ME YOUR
BEST OFFER. I TRY VERY HARD TO MAKE DEALS AND I HAVE NO PROBLEM, MAKING A GOOD
DEAL FOR SOMEONE, IF I CAN MAKE ENOUGH TO STAY IN BUSINESS.
CREDIT CARDS
FOREIGN BUYERS: I will only accept
credit cards from purchasers outside of the continental United States with prior approval. If wiring funds there will be a surcharge of $20 for
wires under $1000, and $30 for wires over $1001.
INSURANCE: I can only insure to a max of $650 for most European Countries, the buyer will have to accept for risk of loss above that figure. I have shipped several thousand guns by EXPRESS AIRMAIL to over seas destinations and I have never had one lost. So the risk of loss is small.
BUYERS WITHIN THE USA: aLL credit card sales for purchases over $1000 MUST BE approved in advance. I will only use AMEX as a last resort and I am not set up for PayPal. I have way to many problems getting funds from them.
A BID IS A BINDING CONTRACT IN MOST STATES, PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU PLAN TO
FOLLOW THROUGH.
FEEDBACK: UPON COMPLETION OF THE TRANSACTION, I WOULD APPRECIATE
FEEDBACK, FINE THE LINK ON THE SIDE BAR OF EACH PAGE or click HERE:
My user name is "robles" I will be happy to reciprocate.
Sales Tax, $6.25% for Utah residents, no Exceptions, except
for Resale Holders, please send me a copy of resale license.
International Shipments:
Global Express Mail, (EMS) provides insurance up to $5000, will provide a
tracking number, which you can go to http://www.usps.com
and track your package. It costs more, but saves me headaches, so I will insist
to use this route. Shipping to Europe, Packages of 1-2 pounds $50, small pistols
only. 3-4 pounds, $60, pocket pistols, 5-6 pounds $70, full sized percussion
pistols and $90 for carbine and $130 for a musket. If I use FEDX the cost is about double, $60 for
small pistol, $80 for large pistol and $180 for rifle. I will include a
hard plastic case with rifle and carbine sales for an additional $15. That
is my cost of the case. The case is yours.
For other countries, or larger packages or multiple guns, you will need to go
to www.usps.com and e-mail me a copy of the rate calculation for shipment. You
will find links that will allow you to calculate shipping. Remember, you must
quote EMS, I will not ship by a less expensive method. I will look at your
calculation and tell you what I can ship for, I normally have to add $5-$10 for
shipping materials.
SENDING ORDERS, YOU MUST USE ORDER FORM,
OR YOU CAN HANDWRITE A FACIMILE.
Mail payments to: Rob Robles, PO Box 1218, Salem, Utah, 84653 USA.
YOU MUST USE INVENTORY NUMBER IN ALL REFERENCES TO ITEM, (EX:
079-7654, Colt M-1860 Army...) You can use the Item Number, the computer
assigns it, but my books do not record it. (EX: Robles-18765).
SHIPPING COSTS: The BUYER is always responsible for shipping.
For Domestic shipments: I use US Mail, Registered or Priority Service. These will have 2-3 day deliveries for Express of Priority Mail. Pistols and Small Collectibles, cost $15 plus 1.00 per hundred dollars in value for insurance, for every increment above $500. Carbines, Swords, cost $35.00 plus $100 per hundred for every hundred dollars in value over $800. Rifles and Muskets cost $45 plus $1.00 for every hundred over $800. I now use a double lined cardboard box for rifles and muskets, they cost me $10 a piece, but I have had no breakage. I can include with most rifles and muskets a gun sock, which cost me $4.00 each. I have available hard plastic cases I can ship the rifles, but not muskets, they cost an additional $15, but you keep the case. They provide additonal safety. I will insist on them for high quality rifles. You must contact http://www.usps.com and calculate what overnight will run, send me a copy of your calculation if you desire overnight.
Express and Priority mail will only insure for a maximum of $5000. Antiqueguns.com will only be responsible for the amount insured. If the buyer wants insurance in excess to $5000, then the gun must be shipped by REGISTERED Mail. That is slower, but by far the safest way to ship items within the US. Registered mail will only insure for $25,000, so if the gun excess of that in value, then buyer will be responsible or some other shipping arrangement will need to be made.
BROKERED GUNS: I WILL BE POSTING SOME HIGH QUALITY GUNS WHERE I AM ACTING AS
A BROKER. A different set of rules will apply to brokered guns. I
assign.
Some of these items will be subject to prior sale, so auctions may end
early if the gun is sold outside the auction.
2. I will not have these guns in my possession, but I will have seen and
inspected the guns and will include many detailed photos, that I have taken. You
will not be ordering guns that I have not handled and determined is a desirable
collectible.
3. A three day inspection will be granted, it will be strictly adhered to,
unless arrangements are made in advance. I inspect items and describe them as carefully as I can, but I will miss things and I never post anything that I do not think is original, but there are people who have been altering and faking items for 30-40 years and sometimes alterations are very difficult to determine. Within your inspection period you must satisfy yourself as to originality. Acceptance of the item after the inspection period will hold Antiqueguns.com and/or Rob Robles from any future claims or liability in case the item is subsequently determined to be altered or faked. Please treat the inspection period seriously, it is your chance to inspect an item, have a professional inspect an item and determine originality and condition.
4. For those items where the seller retains the right to sell the item
outside the auction, then, I will make my reserve known to any serious buyer and
if a buyer is willing to meet the reserve I will stop the auction at that time.
I do not take items on consignment unless I feel the values are fair and I can
make a commission. I am doing this because this will allow me to offer a large
number of exceptional quality guns that I cannot invest in. I am only willing to
do this with high quality collectible items.
I DO NOT quote serial numbers to Buyers, except for some Winchesters
where you want to call to confirm conformation, and then only after you are the
successful bidder. Please do not ask, you will get a reply you do not want to
read. There are several reasons, too numerous to mention here why I will
not quote other serial numbers.
Money back less cost to ship and insure, if not satisfied. All sales are
allowed a 3-5 business day inspection. Please call me to make arrangements
before shipping any item back. 1 408 839 8373, days or eves.
RETURNS
your are responsible to send a copy of
e-mail notification of winning auction notice. This is your receipt, you
must send it with item being returned. My mailboxes get so full that to research this is very time consuming. If I must research this, I will have to charge $50-$100 to do it. I do not want to do that. So please send copy of e-mail notification of purchase with returned item. The notice tells me how much you paid for item plus shipping.
