John Huelskamp is a Civil War historian and weapons expert. He is a graduate of John Carroll University, Ohio (BA) and has attended graduate school at the University of Colorado (MA) and Loyola University of Chicago (MBA).
He writes frequently on CW topics and is an advisor to National Park Service (Civil War) historians.
He is a member of the Appraisers Association of America, The Society of Civil War Historians, The Chicago Historical Society,and the Association for the Preservation of Civil War sites.
He is also Chairman of the Longstreet Society and is a Board Member of the Gettysburg Memorial Project. He has been an avid researcher and collector of Civil War weapons for over thirty years.
