Of course he is mentioned, listed if you will, in both of the MD gun makers books I did w/ Dan Hartzler as well as Dan's ARMS MAKERS OF MD, written before I knew him. Charles Edward & his son Charles Louis were both practical gunsmiths and inventors. They were active from c. 1864 thru about 1900 at various locations in Baltimore. Depending on originality & exact condition a Sneider might go as high as $1000. The close up suggests a medium grade shotgun. Are there additional pgotos? Why is it that some responders have gotten their information directly or indirectly (as in copyists like Sellers) but are reluctant to say where?
