Re diminished participation in pre-1899 firearms category. I know of two very knowledgeable individuals who were dissuaded from continued participation by the lack of common courtesy exhibited by one contributor. Of course to be dissuaded by one sometimes discourteous individual may be their loss, it nevertheless would be appropriate if the moderator of that forum were to remind all participants of the need for courtesy in all postings. If rudeness persists, the perp could be banned for a certain period regardless of the degree of his knowledge.
