I thought some of you might be interested in seeing this portrait now at auction with a U.S. Brig. Gen. holding a M1832 General Officers Sword. I'm very fortunate to have one of these, although without the silver grip wrap or scabbard.

Pretty rare item and this is the first time I recall seeing one in a painting or photo.
