ENGLISH TRADE MUSKET: This musket is circa 1790s and is original flintlock configuration, approximately .62 caliber. This weapon measures 64 inches in overall length with a 46 inch barrel. Lock is marked "T. KETLAND & Co." and the barrel is marked "LONDON" and has double proofs. All furniture is brass (thimbles, trigger guard & buttplate), a full length stock with the barrel pinned in. It has a ramrod that fits quite well but I doubt that it is the original one with the gun. Overall the metal surfaces have a deep dark brown patina with no pitting. The only bad part about this gun is the buttstock itself which has several cracks due to drying out and age. Still this is an excellent musket for its type and extremely difficult to find in original flintlock. Priced at $ 1300.00.
