079-0421-7623, Colt M-1848 Baby Dragoon, .31 Cal, 5 shot with a 5-inch barrel. The gun has the name A.G. Davis period stamped on the bottom of the backstrap. Too many such initialed Davis existed during this period to be certain who the original owner was. The gun shows mottled gray metal with a clear frame and barrel address. The brass shows about 50% original silver. The grips are correct profile with what appears about 60% original varnish. Crisp functional action. The #11xxx matching on the bottom of the gun and cylinder. The wedge has a number but it is not matching. The bore is rifled with scattered fine spotting. Functional and very good overall.
