$1,500.00

GR-0425-6566, Smith .50 cal percussion Civil War Carbine. #17xxx matching. Period sling. Overall dark chocolate patina with scattered bumps and dings. There are a few patches of very fine pinpricks on the metal and also patches of light residue. The wood shows lots of bumps, dings and evidence of extensive use. There is a small chip in the stock where the frame meets the stock on the top of the gun. The barrel has quite a bit of thin blue mixing to a dark patina. I would say about 40% blue mixing to plum patina. There are some flashes of case color on the frame. Both screws in the bottom tang look replaced. The bore is excellent, it is bright, shiny and crisply rifled. Functional mechanics and tight hinge. Very good overall condition. Shooter grade. There is an L carved into the left side of the stock and an LM on the right side of the stock.
