079-0221-2916, Colt M-1860 Army, .44 cal, 3 screw, that appears it was restored from a gun damaged in battle. Patina on all parts matches well. Strong flashes of blue on backstrap, barrel and protected place on cylinder. The cylinder shows 80% strong scene. Crisp tight action, the clear markings. The barrel and cylinder is #33xxx, on the backstrap, triggerguard and frame is 95xxx. The wedge has no number. The grips show strong cartouche, but the grips were coated with linseed oil at some point in the past, but not sanded first. Fine wood to metal fit. This gun is mismatched and appears to have been a gun damaged and put back together with available parts. The patina matches perfectly on barrel, frame and cylinder. This gun has been together for almost all its life. The bore is strongly rifled with scattered fine spotting. Some nitre blue on screws. It was made in 1863. Very good overall. The nipples are crisp and appear prepped for shooting.
