079-0221-2935, Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver with Thuer Conversion. It appears original Thuer with Script E on recoil shield and has worn patent date on the recoil shield. It is a .44 CF with firing pin in recoil shield. The cylinder scene is 90% visible. The gun shows strong flashes of original blue on the cylinder and protected places on the barrel. The remainder mixing to brown patina. The frame is mottled gray where case colored and no visible rainbow hues. #182xxx matching on bottom of gun and cylinder. The wedge shows no number but has been with the gun a very long time. The grips show 60% original varnish. Light bumps and dings with a few patches of tiny pinpricks. The action is crisp, the bore is rifled with scattered spotting. Should be fine, but with pinpricks, very good. Very hard to find. This one is original, markings and the like show 100 years of wear. This gun is much better than average.
This gun has matching assembly numbers on the back of the recoil shield and back of the cylinder. #29 on both. The inside of the loading lever is threaded and the recoil shield has the correct firing pin. Most have not seen one of these and get scared by the authors who make it seem everyone must be fake. I have seen several fakes of different models and they are EASY TO SPOT. This one is good and you are going to miss it. It will be years before I can offer another.
