079-0323-7077, Colt M-1849 5 inch pocket, .31 cal, 6 shot. #251xxx matching on the bottom of the gun and cylinder, made in 1864. This gun has a large guard and single line NY barrel address. The grips show 75% original grip varnish, with light edge loss. The cylinder shows 80% strong scene. Trace of silver on brass with the remainder of the gun showing mottled brown with trace of blue in protected places. Crisp action with crisp edges and clear markings. The bore is strongly rifled with scattered very shallow spotting. Very good overall and better than average.
