079-1021-7004, Brevette Continental Revolver with Adams Patent. BLOWOUT
$1,700.00
079-1021-7004, Brevette Continental Revolver with Adams Patent markings on frame and Trantor patent markings behind triggerguard. It is a 5 shot DA with overall 70% blue on factory engraved frame and checkered grips. IT was probably made by Francotte with LIEGE proof on cylinder. #23xx matching on frame and lever, with Adams Patent marking in script on right side of frame. It has a cap box in the butt bulb and it has the Trantor style trigger, but there is a hinge in the trigger, which was not seen on Trantors. It gauges to about .44 cal, 5 shot and functional. This is not some low end knockoff, the quality of manufacture is equal to English. The bore is rifled with scattered spots of surface residue. Fine overall. Probably made in early 1850’s when the First Model Trantors were being made.
