079-1022-8166, Remington NM Army Conversion to .45 CF, 5 shot. This conversion model is photographed in the book, REMINGTON LARGE BORE CONVERSION REVOLVERS, by R. Phillips. Only 250 of these books were printed.
On page 85, “Fig. 93 fine-shot revolver is noteworthy for several reasons: the maker is known, the caliber is .45 center-fire, a hinged loading gate (inset right) was provided, and the hammer striker was unusually long. Like a specimen once in the Karl Moldenhaur collection, this conversion was one of an unknown number, “Remodeled by Frank L. Osgood. . . . The revolver, one of three known, had a loading gate hinged to a ¼ inch thick conversion ring-like plate attached by two screws to the recoil shield.”
The gun is smooth gray with clear markings, inspector marks, clear cartouche on grip. #103xxx on the bottom of the barrel, #104xxx on the frame under the grips. Both wood grips have the same number penciled onto the back of each grip. The number 104 is on the cylinder. I have fit a .45 Colt into the chamber and it fits perfectly. Flashes of blue on frame and protected places on the barrel. Some mottled staining on the barrel in places and slight roughness in places. Very good overall, and incredibly rare conversion to .45 CF

WIRES: If sending a wire add $30
INSURANCE: We will only insure through the mail carrier when specifically asked to.
Shipping does not include insurance through courier. We carry our own insurance but there is a $1000 deductible. If you would like your box insured through the shipping company, the cost is $10 and you add an additional $1 for every hundred dollars’ worth of insurance that you want. $1000 insured value = $20. We do our best to package items as secure as we can, in the previous 6 years we have had 3 guns broken (all 3 were muskets) and we have shipped thousands of guns. USPS is difficult to get money out of even if you do insure through the USPS.
Cost: US $1 per $100 in value, plus $10. Ex. $1500 Insurance = $15 + $10 = $25

RETURN POLICY
Money back, less cost to ship, if not satisfied. All sales are allowed a 3-5 business day inspection. Please contact us to make arrangements before shipping any item back for refund. No refund is due until I have received the item and it has been inspected.
You are responsible to send a copy of the invoice or Order Form with a return. This is your receipt, you must send it with the item being returned. Once the item being returned has been received, and inspected, and found not to be altered, your refund will be processed.
