$3,900.00

GR-0526-4334, Relic Confederate Brass Mounted Enfield Short Rifle. #831 on the butt plate. It is one of the 1000 made pattern 1858 Naval Rifles acquired by the Confederacy. It is correct as configured as a naval pattern. Brass mounted. Lower Sling swivel mount in the bow of the trigger-guard. It has a “heavy” barrel, the 1856 pattern has a smaller diameter. Engraved inventory number on the butt-plate under 1000. J/S Anchor on the belly of the stock. It is correctly marked Tower and 1861 dated. According to Tim Prince, as of 2017 there are only 16 surviving examples of the these Navy Rifles. As a relic this is one of best I have ever owned and has been in my collection since 2017. The gun is untouched as a relic, the markings are all crisp and clear still. Including the J/S Anchor on the stock. The wood is dried out and grey in color. The hammer is missing. It is in untouched relic condition and the story I was told is that the gun was pulled out of a wall of an old home that was being demolished in upstate New York in the 1960s. Where it was and how it got there I have no idea. I do not even know if that story is true but that is what I was told. Will ship in a hard plastic case. It is an impossible gun to find, only 16 known and if you are a collector of confederate guns, you may not see another Naval Rifle for sale ever. I hate to see it go but I have young kids sucking money out of me and I have to let some guns go. It comes with a detailed description from Tim Prince at College Hill Arsenal.

We accept Check, Money Order, Credit Card, Wire, etc.

If you send a Cashier’s Check or Money order, items will get shipped immediately. If you send a personal check, we will wait for the check to clear before shipping. Please send an invoice with payment, it makes it easier to keep track of payments that way. Also, please be sure your shipping address is correct.

CREDIT CARD FEES: Domestic: 3.5%. International: 6.0%

WIRES: If sending a wire add $30

INSURANCE: We will only insure through the mail carrier when specifically asked to.

Shipping does not include insurance through courier. We carry our own insurance but there is a $1000 deductible. If you would like your box insured through the shipping company, the cost is $10 and you add an additional $1 for every hundred dollars’ worth of insurance that you want. $1000 insured value = $20. We do our best to package items as secure as we can, in the previous 6 years we have had 3 guns broken (all 3 were muskets) and we have shipped thousands of guns. USPS is difficult to get money out of even if you do insure through the USPS.

Cost: US $1 per $100 in value, plus $10. Ex. $1500 Insurance = $15 + $10 = $25
