$1,700.00

GR79-0121-5006, Mass Arms Co. Maynard Primed Belt Revolver. AKA John Brown Model. It is known that 200 of these revolvers were sold to Abolitionist John Brown in 1857. .31 cal. 5 inch barrel. These were only 1000 of these made 1851-1857. Because of a patent infringement that Wesson & Leavitt had with Colt, they developed this model. This model requires the cylinder to be hand rotated. There is a cylinder release button, located above the trigger, you push that to rotate the cylinder by hand. This was a change that they had to apply to this gun to not infringe on the Colt Patent. The gun is in near fine overall condition. Fine wood. 75% silver on guard and back-strap. 70% cylinder scene. There are traces of blue and flashes of case color. Clear and crisp engraved frame and hammer. Crisp clear markings. Functional mechanics. Bright bore is crisply rifled. This model is hard to find. There were simply not a lot of them made. When I usually see them they are in rough shape. If only there was a way to determine if the gun had actually gone to John Brown. Very good + condition. Falydermans Values these at $2750 in fine condition, it is not quite in fine condition but it is close.

Estimated Retail Value: $2200
