GR79-0421-5041, Engraved Remington New Model Army Factory Conversion. This is the second type of the factory conversions and would have originally have an ejector rod on the right side of the gun. The ejector housing is still there and it is engraved. This is a dealer engraved gun. It would have originally been .46 RF cal but has been converted to centerfire and a 45 colt fits perfectly in the cylinder. .46 cal RF was a hard cartridge to find so a lot of these early Remington Conversions were converted to centerfire. I love this gun, beautiful period engraved and period ivory grips. There is no question that it is a factory conversion, my gunsmith had the gun apart and there are assembly numbers inside that all match he says. The cylinder pin is a period done special. The ejector that would have been on it from the factory are clunky and stuck out far. They caught on holster when pulled so there was some beautiful engineering on this gun to replace the clunky rod with a simple cylinder pin that would not get in the way. It is held in place by the screw on the right side of the frame. The Ivory grips have a repair along the back toe. It is very well done. Gun has never been buffed or cleaned. Just an old dirty nickel gun that was carried and used. The gun looks Mexican to me. If it’s not Mexican it is certainly western. It shows honest wear and use and was certainly carried and used. This is exactly how I like to find guns. You could look a long time and never find another gun like this one. Bright and shiny, crisply rifled bore. Fine condition bore. Crisp tight mechanics.

Shipping Policy

PLEASE READ

We accept Check, Money Order, Credit Card, Wire, etc.

If you send a Cashier’s Check or Money order, items will get shipped immediately. If you send a personal check, we will wait for the check to clear before shipping. Please send an invoice with payment, it makes it easier to keep track of payments that way. Also, please be sure your shipping address is correct.

CREDIT CARD FEES: Domestic: 3.5%. International: 6.0%

WIRES: If sending a wire add $30

INSURANCE: We will only insure through the mail carrier when specifically asked to.

Shipping does not include insurance through courier. We carry our own insurance but there is a $1000 deductible. If you would like your box insured through the shipping company, the cost is $10 and you add an additional $1 for every hundred dollars’ worth of insurance that you want. $1000 insured value = $20. We do our best to package items as secure as we can, in the previous 6 years we have had 3 guns broken (all 3 were muskets) and we have shipped thousands of guns. USPS is difficult to get money out of even if you do insure through the USPS.

Cost: US $1 per $100 in value, plus $10. Ex. $1500 Insurance = $15 + $10 = $25
