$6,500.00

GR79-0623-4773, Smith and Wesson 1st model Schofield with US on backstrap and cartouche on left grip. Serial number 6xx matching on frame, cylinder barrel and latch. The right grip is numbered on the inside of the grip but that number does not match. It is an original Schofield grip but the number does not match. The hammer has strong vivid rainbow hues.  The gun shows 80% smooth blue mixing to brown in places. Clear markings on the barrel. The serial numbers and inspector marks are all clear and legible too. Crisp, functional mechanics. Functional ejector. The cylinder shows some light scratches. We sent this gun to the Gunsmith for some tuning and he raved about the gun and the internal conditions, they were totally not messed with and untouched. He said the gun was nearly new inside. The bore is bright, shiny crisply rifled with a few very fine spots near the muzzle and some streaking blue finish still remains in bore. Excellent bore. There is still some original blue in the cylinder too. The gun has clearly been shot but much better than average condition.  I believe this is the original finish that was lightly used and stored for a long time.  I have seen guns with finish like this before, it seems a little flat and I think this is because of how it was stored / what it was exposed to for years. I see no signs of a refinish or cleaning. The gun shows no signs of buffing or cleaning. Fine overall. A handsome and very desirable gun.
