$3,800.00
GR79-0722-4249, Smith and Wesson Frontier DA with incredibly rare 8 inch barrel, only two of these big Smiths were made in this barrel length. It comes with a factory letter. The caliber is .44 S&W. All frames were made prior to 1898 and so these are all deemed antique even though this gun was not shipped to Philedelphia until 1908. The gun used to be ownded by Norm Flayderman, as the letter was written to him. The Smith Factory letter identifies this gun by serial number, #52xxx as one of only two large DA Smiths shipped with a 8 inch barrel. The letter calls out the barrel length, it calls out the nickel finish, which this gun retains about 30% original nickel, the pearl grips show tarnished brass S&W medallion at the top of the grip. Functional in both DA and SA. Serial numbers match on frame, cylinder barrel and latch. The bore is bright, rifling is strong with scattered fine spots in bore. Fine exterior, the bore needs to be soaked.
