GR79-0921-5302, Relic Winchester Model 1894. The gun was buried loaded! On the right side of the gun, the magazine tube is eaten away in one place and you can see a bullet still in the tube. I hear a lot of stories with relic guns but the story I heard with this gun is neat and I tend to believe it because it is so weird. The story is as follows.
The gun was dug near Pecos New Mexico. The man who dug the gun had always heard the story that his grandfather had buried a gun in the backyard that was used in a murder. The home that had been in the family since the early 1900s. A shop was built over the site to forever hide the firearm. He buried the gun after he had killed a man and wanted to hide the gun. Earlier this year, the shop and old home were torn down and the grandson (man who I bought the gun from), having heard this story growing up decided to dig up some dirt to see if there was any truth to the story. He found this 1894 Winchester and the axe in the photos about 18 inches below the surface. I have seriously thought about just keeping this gun and hanging it on the wall. If it does not sell I will probably hang it on the wall.
Whether the story is true or not, this is a neat old relic. Certainly appears like a dug relic. I love that the wood is still on it. Having been buried loaded is neat too. This is the type or relics that I like to keep myself.

INSURANCE: We will only insure through the mail carrier when specifically asked to.
Shipping does not include insurance through courier. We carry our own insurance but there is a $1000 deductible. If you would like your box insured through the shipping company, the cost is $10 and you add an additional $1 for every hundred dollars’ worth of insurance that you want. $1000 insured value = $20. We do our best to package items as secure as we can, in the previous 6 years we have had 3 guns broken (all 3 were muskets) and we have shipped thousands of guns. USPS is difficult to get money out of even if you do insure through the USPS.
Cost: US $1 per $100 in value, plus $10. Ex. $1500 Insurance = $15 + $10 = $25

RETURN POLICY
Money back, less cost to ship, if not satisfied. All sales are allowed a 3-5 business day inspection. Please contact us to make arrangements before shipping any item back for refund. No refund is due until I have received the item and it has been inspected.
You are responsible to send a copy of the invoice or Order Form with a return. This is your receipt, you must send it with the item being returned. Once the item being returned has been received, and inspected, and found not to be altered, your refund will be processed.
