GR79-1021-5375, Sharps .34 cal single shot lever action pistol.  Type 1, #2x. BUY NOW

Original price was: $2,800.00.Current price is: $2,600.00.

GR79-1021-5375, Sharps .34 cal single shot lever action pistol.  Type 1, #2x, matching on three numbers visible.  Only 500 type 1’s were made.  It has an old CS scratched into the inside of the grip.  This was definitely done a long time ago, but does it prove this gun was in the hands of a confederate. I cannot say that for sure.  It would have never been done by an arsenal but could have been done by a Confederate Soldier.  These guns were made from 1854-1857, I have seen tin photos of Rebs holding them.   Hard to find at any reasonable price.  6 inch barrel with scattered spots of staining and fine pinprick pitting.  The frame shows stamped patent address with fine pinpricks slightly disfiguring it.  The grips have been lightly cleaned, some slight rounding on grip edges. The bore shows heavy spotting, with scattered pits the length of the bore. The hammer and the elevator that goes up and down both look like they have had some work done on them long ago. If I had to guess, I think the gun was probably froze up and someone did some work on it to get it working. You only would notice this if you look close at the parts.
